Mr. Sanli is President and Founder of Sanli Pastore & Hill, Inc. He is responsible for the overall management of the firm, including client engagements, litigation support, expert witness testimony, strategic planning and relationship management. Mr. Sanli, a member of the American Society of Appraisers, is an accredited Senior Appraiser, Business Valuation Discipline, and has been a financial consultant for over 30 years specializing in expert testimony & litigation opinions, forensic accounting, finance & economics, business, brand & IP valuations, fairness & solvency opinions and transaction advisory services. Mr. Sanli has extensive experience in developing cash flow statements and financial projections, conducting industry and market research, analysis of financial statements and valuing businesses.

Mr. Pastore is Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Sanli Pastore & Hill, Inc. He is responsible for the overall management of the firm, including client engagements, litigation support, expert witness testimony, administrative matters and relationship management. He has been involved in financial consulting for more than 30 years, specializing in investment and financial analysis, litigation consulting and public accounting. Mr. Pastore's extensive experience encompasses valuing numerous businesses in a wide range of industries including healthcare/ life sciences, information technology, services, manufacturing, holding companies and retail. He has served as an expert witness in federal and state courts for business litigation cases in California, Arizona, New York, Nebraska, and North Dakota.

Forrest Vickery, ASA

Business Background

Mr. Vickery is a Shareholder and Managing Director of Northern California operations with Sanli Pastore & Hill, Inc. (SP&H).  Mr. Vickery established and works from SP&H’s Sacramento office, primarily servicing clients throughout Northern California.

 

Mr. Vickery has been involved in special situations requiring expert financial opinions since joining SP&H in 1995. His experience includes expert witness testimony, business valuations, valuation advisory services, support for litigation, economic and financial research, statistical analysis, fairness opinions, forensic financial analysis, lost profits and economic damages analysis, and analysis of reasonable fair market compensation for executives.  Mr. Vickery has extensive experience in financial data analyses; developing cash flows, economic benefit streams, and financial projections; conducting industry and market studies; analyzing financial statements and determining appropriate financial statement adjustments; performing sensitivity analyses; valuing businesses; and providing live expert testimony regarding financial opinions.

 

For business valuations, Mr. Vickery regularly performs valuation work for estate planning, estate and gift tax reporting, family and business succession/transition planning, intangible assets, Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs), Section 409a, and fairness opinions.  For dispute matters, Mr. Vickery regularly performs expert witness services for California eminent domain takings, California Corporations Code shareholder/partner dissolution matters, forensic financial analysis, lost profits, unjust enrichment, disgorgement, and economic damages, as well as other unique situations requiring financial expert testimony.

Mr. James Greene is the Director of Business Development for Sanli Pastore & Hill, Inc. Jim has more than twenty-five years of experience in marketing and business development for a wide range of professional services firms including valuation, public accounting, financial advisory and consulting in Southern California. Jim Greene’s prior experience includes service as Vice President & CFO of a publicly-traded insurance and financial services firm where he was also an officer of their mutual funds investment advisor and an NASD principal of its broker dealer distributors. ​

Mr. Greene received his MBA from Marquette University and is a cum laude graduate of the University of Notre Dame where he received an undergraduate degree in commerce and marketing.

James Greene is currently a member of the Estates and Trusts Council of Rady Children’s Hospital Foundation. Formerly he served as Chair of the Pediatric & Family Medical Foundation, the fundraising arm of the Eisner Pediatric & Family Medical Center, a private non-profit inner city health center in Los Angeles. Business Background ​

Mr. Genco Sanli served as Finance Director of a major Nigerian company in the logistics services industry from September 2016. Prior to moving to Lagos, he worked 27 years in Investment Banking and Wealth Management Divisions of first-tier banks such as JP Morgan, Credit Suisse, Citibank as well as specialty players such as AIG Financial Products, Fortis Banque Privée and KBL European Private Bankers. In these institutions, he held management positions in which he applied creative solutions to complex strategic issues. His diverse experience in fast moving and challenging environments allowed him to build an analytical and “need to change” driven mind, invariably seeking improved processes and implementing efficient best practices. In his last banking posting in London, Mr. Sanli additionally acted as Change Agent within a McKinsey led project (Team Excellence) to overhaul the Fixed Income and Currencies Division at Commerzbank AG. He holds a MA in Political Science from Université Libre de Bruxelles and a MSc. in Management Studies from Boston University.

Alain Closier is a former member of the General Management Committee of the Société Générale group. With more than 35 years of experience in international banking and finance, he is, and has always been, passionate about creating innovative activities.

 

Alain Closier is a graduate of the National School of Statistics and Economic Administration (ENSAE) and holds a post-graduate degree in Economics from Panthéon-Sorbonne University, in Paris. He began his career as an economist, before joining the International Treasury department of Société Générale.

 

In the 90s, Alain was responsible for the international development of FIMAT.  Originally only a French brokerage company, FIMAT has become in just a few years an international leader specializing in brokerage on derivative stock markets with a presence in more than 25 countries.

 

Alain Closier was also the creator of FIMATEX, a precursor of online brokers. In 2000, FIMATEX was one of the largest IPOs in Paris in the internet sector. After several mergers and acquisitions, FIMATEX became Boursorama, today one of the French leaders in online banking.

 

Alain Closier's work has been rewarded on several occasions by international financial institutions. As Director of Société Générale Securities Services (SGSS), he was elected “European Personality of the Year in Asset Servicing” in 2010 by Funds Europe magazine. Its teams were recognized both for their expertise in emerging markets and for their presence on a European scale.

 

Overseeing the development of the bank's venture capital activities in Silicon Valley during the 2000s, Alain Closier acquired in-depth knowledge of the problems encountered by start-ups, both in the United States and in Europe.

 

Today, when he is not traveling or studying new investments, Alain Closier advises large companies, start-ups and entrepreneurs developing innovative activities.
